I get the Tyson brand, they have a few kinds, I get the one that says it is made with breast meat. If they have nuggets at lunch they each eat 2, if they have it for dinner they each have 1, they seem to eat more at their lunch meal for some reason.
I got him the Morning Star brand - they aren't real chicken but they really taste good! I have a picky eater though so he won't eat them (or hardly anything else)
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
1 c breadcrumbs or cornflakes, crushed
1 egg (or 1/4 c mayo)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp italian seasoning
(spices are optional, depending on what you want to use.)
Heat oven to 375?F. In a bag, put crumbs, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and italian seasoning. In la bowl, beat egg; add chicken pieces and stir well. Transfer chicken pieces, 10 at a time, to bag; toss to coat evenly. Arrange on prepared baking sheets. Lightly spray with oil. Bake 18 minutes. Can be frozen, then reheated later.
I haven't tried it yet, but it seems simple enough.
DD loves the Morningstar Farms ones (like pp mentioned they are not real chicken). I also bought, but haven't tried yet, the Earth's Best chicken nuggets. I'm sure DD could finish 2 nuggets at the minimum!

Re: frozen chicken nuggets?
I'm going to make them. You can cook a bunch, then freeze, and then you know what they're eating.
If you want it, I can try to find the recipe.
I would love the recipe if you don't mind. Thank you!
