How many bigger ticket items do you have on your registry? Like over $100 or so.
The reason I ask: I am not putting a lot clothes and stuff like that because I figure people buy them anyways. So it seems like a lot of what is ending up on the registry is more expensive items (swing, stroller, etc). They are things that if they don't get bought I'll end up buying them anyways. But I feel like if someone feels gracious enough to buy one of those items that would be amazing. But I am also feeling like I'm looking greedy and expecting everyone else to buy expensive things. I DO have a good chunk of less expensive items on there too....so they can do whatever they want. I worry too much!
Re: Big Ticket Items on registry
Its all good!
I put my carseat, swing, bouncer, high chair, baby bjorn, and exersaucer on there so I could eventually use the 10% off from BRU to close out the registry on them. With one week until my shower all but the exersaucer has been picked up. I can't believe it. I'm thinking that some people are combining their gifts
I wouldn't worry....

I had a lot of big ticket items on my registry with DS, and a few of them people went in together to get. I also had a ton of small things like bottles and organizers and accessories.
Off hand that I know of: exersaucer, swing, travel system, pack n play, convertable car seat- over $100. Several other items $50-100. And lots of stuff $5-30.
I also did not register for clothes, I always like to go in with others on a bigger gift so I never see it as greedy to put big stuff on there.

I used my registry as a sort of check list for myself. It had everything that I needed on it. Even if I did not plan on someone buying an item for me it was still on my registry so that I could plan on buying it for myself.
Clothes never need to be on a registry because everyone and thier mother will buy you clothes until they are coming out of your ears
We put a $129 swing, a $120 pack and play, a $100 exersaucer, $90 jumperoo, $70 high chair, $80 monitor, and $180 bedding set. Also, $200 travel system, and $130 convertable carseat. All were purchased, I couldn't believe it! I felt like a gift hog even putting these things on it.
It looked like most people went in on a gift with at least one other person.
We did not know the sex, and I think people tend to buy your "needs" rather than your "extras" on registries when they do not know. When they know the sex, they tend to buy all pink or blue stuff. Who can resist the cuteness?
I put everything on there but the cribs. I knew my Mom wanted to buy some of the higher priced items and I am surprised how many have been purchased for us. I think alot of people are going in together because they want to get us the bigger items since we're having 2.
I also used it as a checklist so that I had everything I wanted on there so I could get the rest of the stuff later.
We registered for the following items, all 99.99 or above and got them all as gifts. Put what you want on the registry, having a variety of prices is good!?
Pack n play
swing
Travel system
Jogging stroller
exersaucer
baby bjorn?
