anyone else have to pre-pay for circumcision?

I had to pre-pay for that at my last visit.  This seemed really weird to me.  Honestly, what if we were not finding out, or if we werent sure yet?  Why not just bill my insurance and then me if they dont pay?

    We have to pay for it before they do it in the hospital depending on what the insurance covers.  I know they cover something... I can't understand how it all works since we have to meet our deductible.

    We don't know what we're having and no one has said anything to us.  I'd be annoyed if they made me do that.

    I have to pre-pay also at my next visit.  We originally weren't finding out what we were having (of course I caved in later) and was told that I had to pay it anyway but would be refunded after birth if it were a girl.  I know that a lot of insurances don't cover it, I don't think mine does.

    Weird.  I called to make sure and my insurance covers it -- didn't ask for any copay or anything.
