A little labor tip from my acupuncturist...

He gave me some little magnets to use in special points - one of them being about an inch in - in between my thumb and forefinger. He said that spot is supposed to help with labor - once it has started. Like if labor seems to be slowing down or not progressing, pinch on that spot or massage it. Who knows if it works but I will definitely be keeping it in mind!

    ha! I have been pushing on that pressure point for like the past week! every time I think about it I massage that area.

    How was the rest of the visit? Was it relaxing? Did he say what the success rate is of inducing or jumpstarting labor?

    I have heard about putting pressure on the same area to help relieve headaches...

    Appt. went really well! He made sure to tell me that none of this is "supposed" to bring on labor. We were just trying to clear out my chi so that what needs to happen can happen. He said the body knows what it needs to do, we just need to make that path a little clearer.

    He did have me focus and mediate on a flower opening as it is symbolic with my cervix opening. So, I meditated on a lotus flower floating in a pond and opening up. I also tried to focus on some visualazation techiniques and visualized my cervix opening and our daughter being born. It was a great session! 

    I love the guy! He is always so knowledgeable and relaxes me.

    I go to Palmetto Accupuncture in Columbia - downtown off Bull Street. I went there for IF treatments while TTC. It worked! I told him I needed help getting her, now I needed help getting her out! lol.
