Wanna hear a funny story? (oh, and DH sucks)

So I had to go to this black tie event for work last week. It ended up being pretty cool, I met a lot of people, including Shaun Donovan, Obama?s appointee to head up HUD (US Dept of Housing and Urban Development)--I really like him and was happy when he got picked and super excited when I got to meet him (yes, I?m a nerd).

Anyway, here?s the funny thing. So I?m chatting with my boss and some other people, and I?m talking to a lady, when this guy walks up to me, says (in semi-NY accent), ?You?re gawh-geous, you?re beautiful, let me take you out? and hands me his card and walks away. So whatever I tuck it in my purse and forget about it. The next day, I?m cleaning out my purse and find his card. He?s some Madison Avenue lawyer, and he circled his office number, wrote his cell and home number on the card, along with ?Please call!!?

Even though it was sleazy I still felt flattered because I?ve been in a huge rut for a long time.

I told DH (totaly joking btw), ?Hun, you better watch out, I still got it. I can do well if I ever decided to cheat on you.?

DH?s response: ?So how many drinks do you think he had before he came up to you??

Uh...thanks dear.
