DD made me cry

Last night I cut my thumb while slicing fruit for Katy. Katy of course came right over and kissed my boo boo. Then she told me she would sing a song to make me feel better. She busted out with "Don't be afraid, ooh-ooh-ooh, don't be afraid, ooh-ooh-ooh..." in a very strange falsetto voice. (Think Tiny Tim singing "Tiptoe Through the Tulips"). I was trying hard not to laugh when I told her how much I loved her song and then I asked her if she made it up. She just stared without answering so I asked again, "Did you ever hear that song before or did it come from your head?" (me pointing to her head)

She took my hand and put it on her chest and said, "No mommy, it came from my heart!"

Where does she come up with this stuff? I swear, she is the sweetest kid ever. I LOVE almost 3-year olds!!

That made my heart skip a beat. That is sooo extremely sweet. I can't wait until Preston starts talking more and I hear things like that. That has got to be one of the best feelings.
