Letters with Ribbon...hanging question

If you are using wooden letters on the wall hung with ribbon, how are you haning them? With a nail covered by the ribbon? Some sort of cute hook? Thanks!

Re: Letters with Ribbon...hanging question

  • I'd say a small nail :)

  • Since they are so light, I would only use a pin.
  • I think I will hang mine with ribbon attached to a nail but I will paint the nail to match the wall so it doesn't look so obvious.
  • my vote is a cute hook, but if the ribbon is really thick that may not work (it will not lay flat)....if no hook, then a nail under the ribbon would work.

  • I just used a white finishing nail. My letters are white and I used pink ribbon.
  • If your letters are heavy you may want to secure the letters themselves to the wall and then run a ribbon to make them look like they are hanging.

  • We hot glued the ribbon to the back of the letters and then hung them with a small nail from the wall. The ribbon nearly completely covers the nail and you can't tell at all.
  • We just use small nails. My DH just painted them white=)

  • We just refinished the dresser and added new knobs, so we bought extra knobs and are giong to hang the letters from those when we get to that point.  They are just round wooden knobs painted to match the dresser paint color.
  • We used doll rods and drilled small holes in the wall ( no bigger than a nail really) and then attached knobs we painted white onto the rods.  Then that gave us something to hang the ribbon on to.
