Babies: 9 - 12 Months

9+ months still with no teeth.question for you!

DD will be 9 months next week and she still has not teeth.  I have not fed her any table food with fear of her choking because she can't chew anything.  Do you feed your DC with no teeth table food? what do you feed them?  just pureed things or just REALLY small things of what your eating?  Thanks!!

  • they can still eat green beans, peas, cooked (soft) carrots, fruit, they can gum soft pieces of meat, etc.

eta: all table food - not pureed.

  • DS is just starting to teethe and he can eat cherios, puffs, chicken, and today we tried little bits of elbow macaroni!  No problems at all.

  • the teeth that most 9 month babies have are all in the front anyway , which they don't use to chew... so go ahead and feed your baby puffs to start and anything soft is fine! DD only got her first 2 teeth at 9 months and she chews with her gums like a champ!
  • My DS is 10 months and has not one tooth!  We feed him any and all table foods, just cut up really small.  The only ones we don't feed him are foods we wouldn't feed him regardless of the teeth.  He gums everything and is just fine!  Just cut it up super small and it'll be great!
