Parenting

When a stranger asks you for parenting advice...do you?

A) be honest & give them advice? OR

B) just try & make them feel better about their situation?

This happened to me today at the park playground & I admit, I did B...now I sort of feel like I should have stepped up & at least told her to bring it up w/ her pediatrician.  Her child was not acting "normal" at all for an almost 5yr old.  He has extreme fear of pretty much anything on the playground, meanwhile she saw my barely 2yr old doing everything...I am sure that's why she asked me.

  • I think it depends on the situation, or what they want advice on.  I dont think I would have much advice to give her about a child who is scared of everything.  DS is just like your DC and not scared of hardly anything.

  • A...but the advice would most likely talk to pedi.
