Snarky and T-TTC

I have this theory

That when the H does the laundry, he cherrypicks his own stuff, and leaves mine out. I can't tell you how many times I've folded a load of laundry to not find a single item of mine it it. However, when I do laundry, it is inevitably a mix of all of our stuff.

  • I do 85% of the laundry (it's a deal we made).  But dh has done that before.  He only did it once.  He didn't wash any of my stuff and I didn't wash any of his the next time.

He was indignant, and I told him I was happy to start splitting the laundry, since that is what he wanted to do and he shut up about it.   He also doesn't complain anymore when I ask him to switch a load from washer to dryer when he's already upstairs.

  • DH does his own every other sunday.   That's his set schedule.

I do my own as needed - but if his Sunday rolls around, my stuff gets tossed in his loads.

  • I actually like doing laundry, so I rarely ask DH to do any.  Sometimes he just does it on his own when he's bored I guess, but he's pretty good about not screwing it up (after screwing a few things up royally once or twice he learned his lesson fast and does it right now).

  • When I was KU and only had about 5 outfits I could wear, DH would inevitably wash everything but them.  If my clothes were light, he would wash darks, if they were dark he would wash lights.  So aggravating!
  • Yeah, he plays all big-eyed and innocent when I ask him about this. Sneaky little bugger.
I'm just glad he does laundry. He actually does most of the washing/drying, and I do the folding.
