i have decided that due to a series of factors, i now have a pet mouse.?
i am feeding him- i lovingly placed peanut butter in the snap traps i set all over the house last night..and he took a couple of nibbles without any harm, yay!
i am entertaining him- he likes to avoid all of the 10 or so traps i have put down in the kitchen..i knew he would have fun!
i am cleaning up after him- all of his poop, that he especially likes to deposit right next to his food troughs (otherwise known as traps)
i am medicating him- either he ate a little bit of the boys' miralax that i spilled last night, or ?he invited his friends over to see what kind of sucker (i mean good owner!) i am..because there was poop all over the place this morning
i am playing with him- he played this really fun game with me where he ran right behind me when i was sitting in front of the nursery closet door..what fun!
i am providing a comfy, warm place to stay- he likes the stove..unfortunatly he doesn't like it quite enough..he also likes my couch cushions, and my dirty laundry
i hate that little a*hole?

Re: my pet mouse
I have a similar situation at my house. Except that we know it's more than one. We live in the woods in a house that wasn't built very well so in the winter they like to try to make themselves comfy in my utility room. Occasionally they venture out into our kitchen and one of our dogs has taken to killing them which is great. They ignore traps and I can't put out poison because I have 2 dogs and a kitten.
One of my friends suggested that I try putting peppermint oil on cotton balls all over my house and any place I've seen evidence of mice. Apparently they hate the smell so much they'll actually leave. We're going to try that and see how it works. Good luck with your little friend!
