Dylans Birth Story

Ok where to start.?My little man finally decided to come into the world November 22^nd.At 5:58pm. Weighing in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and at 20 ? inches long.?

It all started Wednesday night the 19^th.? I kept having contractions all night long.? I dealt with them for almost3 hours. Woke Joshua up and called my doctor.? They said come in and get checked.? So I sat in L&D for 3 hours and well I was sent homebecause I made no progress even though I had so many contractions.? I got back home about 6, dh went off to work while I tried so sleep, since I didn?t all night. Around 10am I woke up with the worst pain in the world. Called the dr. they said to come in asap. DH was about 1 hour away when I called him (he was home in 30 minute). Got to the hospital around 1:30pm, was monitored, and some pain meds to help me relax.? I was monitored till around 6 and once again was sent home because I had made no progress again. It was frustrating because one dr would say I was at 2cm, once said I was at 1 cm, my effacement was always different. We went home, I tried to eat but I was so nauseous from the pain I was unable to get fluids or solids down.? They prescribed me a sleeping pill and some strong pain killers so my body would stop fighting the contractions and let myself dilate.? I fell asleep around 9pm, and 2 hours later I was back up with horrible pain again. Couldn?t walk, talk, stand, do anything, I just sat and cried. So once again I went back to the hospital to be monitored. I was there till around 11am, and got sent home again.? At this point I just wanted them tobreak my water or do something, to get things moving, I couldn?t take the pain any longer, they wouldn?t induced me because it wasn?t necessary. At this point Joshua took me to my mom?s house, since it was closer than the 45-minute drive we kept making, and I knew we?d be back at the hospital soon.? I got a few hours of sleep, then tried her tub. That was the best idea I had the whole time. I stayed in there for 3 hours, it was like a massive amount of weight lifted off from me. I started my bloody show after I got out of the tub.?I was able to sleep that night, only for a few hours.? Woke up around 3 in horrible pain, and my mom was able to get me through the contractions.? Around 9 I got back in the tub and was in there for about 3 hours again.? My mom was able to time my contractions every time I made a noise.?She said it was 5 minutes on the dot.? Joshua got to her house around 11, and was helping me manage the contractions. They finally got me out of the tub, which I was terrified of because all the weight came back on my body. I tried walking and watching tv for an hour, and I had it. I just wanted to go back to the hospital. I didn?tcare if they were going to send me home, I just needed to go, so off we went. Got checked in and they said I was 3 ? cm.? we were? all surprised, and I was so excited when the nurse said they were admitting me. Best news ever, that meant pain relief!! Everything went so fast, it was about 20 minutes I had my epidural, and I was in heaven. They checked me about 1 1/2hours later and I was at an 7-8. I thought Joshua was going to fall over; the look on his face was priceless when they said how fast I was going.? Before you knew it I was fully dilated and started pushing at 5.? Little man was born at 5:58pm. So amazing!?They were having a hard time getting my bleeding under control, so I had to get a shot to help with my blood clotting.? But that?s all good now.? Im a little sore, but only a few hours after having him I?ve moving really well, just a tad sore.?He latched on right away, so let just hope he keep up with that.
