Have you seen "Slumdog Millionaire"?

I want to see this on Saturday for our date night, but DH is resisting because he heard it was depressing (I think the scenes of the kids growing up). Is he right?

    I haven't seen it but I've heard it's truly phenomenal and worth the time to go.  Depressing or not it's supposed to be the best movie in years.

    I don't think it's depressing. ?There are some heavy scenes but it is a FANTASTIC movie!!!!

    There are definitely depressing elements of it, no doubt. ?The conditions of the Mumbai slums are atrocious. ?But the movie itself is unbelievably uplifting and inspiring.?
