I sort of wish Dopplers were like those price check machines they have at Target. I don't really want one for my home use, but it would be nice to just go some place and check every now and again. That was completely off the subject, and just my little rant.

i want one, but since i have a tilted ute, we cant hear anything anyways..the little one is stuck back there, pressing on my already pinched nerve, instead of up front where he should be..lol..maybe once things straighten out i will order one.

I recommend the Hi Bebe Fetal Doppler from Amazon ($115). The readout registered my baby's hb at 8w5d and we started hearing the hb (for both babies) at 10w3d. It has been awesome and so worth the investment (especially if you plan to have more kids).
It would be really cool to have one, but they are so expensive, and once you start feeling movement you don't really need it anymore. But it's up to you if you think it is worth the investment.
i rented mine at www. babybeat.com .. $27/month.. worth it for a few months til i feel the baby. i am in my second tri tho (just lurking the site lol) so i have heard the hb and know how to find it. good luck...
We bought the Hi Bebe sound doppler (the one without the screen readout, it only has sound) It was only 75 dollars, free shipping. We got it off the internet from Health Check Systems. It was here in 4 business days and we heard the heartbeat right away. Totally worth the money!
