The embryologist called back and 13 of the 15 eggs were mature. Yay!

TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!
Tomorrow they call and tell me how many fertilized with ICSI.
Then on Friday they call if we are doing our transfer on day 3 (Saturday) or day 5 (Monday)

There are generally 2 reasons they'll do a 3dt. Either embryo quality is lower and they feel like the embryos will do better in your ute than in a petri dish, or they already have some front runners. If they already know what they are going to transfer, might as well do it. I believe success rates are similar between the 2. 5dt tends to be favored. It gives the embryologist more time to really see which embies are the superstars.

They will transfer 1-2 embies and if we have any remaining those will be frozen for future FET cycles. Either to be used for future siblings or if this cycle is a failure
