I am having the hardest time finding a rocker that is reasonable in price. I would like the real chair kind that is upholstered with an ottoman. Has anyone found a set like this that isn't super expensive? Thanks!!!
It depends on your idea of "super expensive". We bought an upholstered glider from a [local] furniture store in our area for about $450, which I thought was reasonable by comparison to others I had looked at at PB and RH and the like.
Try looking at furniture stores near you that aren't necessarily specializing in "baby". You might be surprised at what they have. Many also have fairly extensive baby/toddler room options, but just might not have them actually in the store, so be sure to ask. And sometimes if you know what you're looking for (you've found it online or something) if you know the manufacturer the store may be able to order it for you, which could save you on shipping.
You should look at walmart, tons of girls have purchased that one and seem to love it. It would have been the one I was going to get as well if I hadn't found mine on craigslist.
Ikea has a pretty decent rocker for $149. It's the Lullberg rocking chair; I went to the store yesterday and tested it out and it was pretty comfortable. It doesn't have an ottoman.
I also like the Ektorp Tullista chair which is also $149. Again I felt it was comfortable and I also liked the colors which would match my nursery colors.
You can also check regular furniture stores - my Mom found a chair at a regular store (similar to the Ektorp) for about $250.
I bought mine from offyourocker.ca - it's this guy in Canada who makes custom rockers. The total w/shipping and an ottoman for mine was just over $300. For that price I got to pick the finish of the wood (which I wanted painted black) and the fabric. I should be recieving it in the next couple weeks!

Good Luck!
I saw one on clearance at Kmart yesterday for $66. Here is the link:
