My poor sister met her first breast feeding advocate today at a resturant. This woman came up to her as she was feeding her dd a bottle and said "I can't beilve you're feeding your little angel that garbage!, don't you know breast is best??" Then launched into a huge speach about the benifits of breast milk. My wonderful sister handed me her dd, lifted her shirt and pointed to where her breasts had been (she had a double mastectomy from breast cancer) and said "if you can make them grow back then I'll feed her your way" The woman just stared in horror, turned and practically ran away.

That is crazy! ?you just should not speak in absolutes before you know whats going on! ?my goodness. ?i'm all for breastfeeding and have been doing it for a year, but i know some people just can't! ?oiy!

People are so rude! There are so many reasons for not breast feeding. And how rude to assume it was formula...ever heard of pumping and giving it in a bottle. People really should think before they speak. Good for her for putting that lady in her place!
