post partum return to work question

so i have my 6wk check up today at Gyno and I wanted to ask her if she could write my return to work date for 8 wks PP instead of 6...i had a vaginal birth and i know 6wks is the norm, but thought it was worth asking...anyone done this? not sure how to ask....should i just be direct and ask her...i imagine people probably request this a lot ,but not sure...
