How is your nursery painted?

My sister is due in two months and they just moved into a different house. My other sister and I want to go and paint/fix up the babies room. I am so excited because I know she will love it no matter what we do.

She is having a boy and the bedding is a light blue/green/yellow.

Any great ideas? In mine - one wall is red with a shelf along the entire wall and the rest are a tan color.

    Jacob's room is tan. I had my heart set on blue, but the decor we picked out didn't have any blue in it. I love it though, it's neutral so it's easy to change.

    R's is all painted robin's egg blue.

    PBK now has paint colors and sample chips like PB.  I always love the colors they use.  Maybe you could pick up one of the samples and find some inspiration there?  Our local Benjamin Moore place has them.

    I would say either light green or I like the pp idea of the tan.  With the light green, you can make the blue pop as the accents or with the tan, you can't go wrong and use any of the colors as accents.  Not to mention if they use the same room when he transitions to his "big boy room" as few years down the road, the color is already neutral so changing the bedding/decor would be a breeze!

    Joesy - I know, I am thinking about doing that same color for DD's next room. I ordered her bedding and I hope it has blue in it.

    I'm just not sure if we should paint the entire thing one color (bue) or something a little more exciting.

    Oh, I get what you're asking now.

    I love the horizontal stripe!  I think the vertical stripes are kind of overdone, and they take a lot more time.  That is awesome of you guys to do that for your sister!

    DS's room is dark sea blue on the bottom, a sandy off-white 3" stripe, and then pale pale aqua/ice blue top & ceiling, with surfboards and tropical fish.

    DD's nursery bedding/decor is a lot of pink/hot pink with some yellow and green. her walls are yellow with a wall border about halfway up. i love the wall border look if one is available with the set.
