This was the topic on the radio this morning and it made me realize that I did. My boyfriend before H dumped me on a Thursday, I went to the club on Friday and met my H there (well kind of, we knew each other by name already), exchanged phone numbers and have been together ever since - going onto 9 years

I did. I met DH after I was dumped. I had never been dumped before so I was really upset about it. Well my girlfriends took me out for the night and DH was there, we had mutual friends. He was interested immediately, I wasn't. I got to know him over the next 4 or 5 months. He had started dating someone else and once I got to know him, I was crazy about him and had to get rid of her lol

For 2yrs there was such sexual tension between MH and I. If we were both single then we would amke out with each other but never go all the way. Then one night we did. It was awkward having he talk afterwards but we decided that we wanted to be more then friends and have been together ever since. Last Dec was 8yrs.

I was actually the rebound. DH was single (after being through a divorce) for less than 24 hours before we had our first date. They had been separated for 6 months previous.

We were also college buds going back 8 years before that tho.

I had broken up with my high school/college bf of 7 years, and went on my first date with H 3 mos. later. I was already in the process of getting over the bf before we broke up, though. He was a total asss. Thank God I found my DH!!

Yes. DH and I were friends and I was dating my ex. He was a douche so I broke up with him. A week later DH and I made out after a night of drinking. When we talked about it later, it came up that we both had crushes on each other and decided to give dating a try.

No, after my last serious boyfriend cheated on me and got the other girl pg, I became a bra burning man hater. ?I was RUTHLESS. ?I went out on lots of dates but almost never any repeats. ?As soon as they did something that I didn't like, no matter how insignificant, I shut down and quit returning their calls. ?Then I met H and it was 3mos before we actually started dating, and another month after that before I decided I could date him exclusively.

This is me and DH exactly! But I "dragged him through the mud" for the first few months because I was so sour about relationships after my psycho-ex. DH just kept coming back for more, so the rest is history Stick out tongue

yup! i was with my EX for 5 years. we even owned a condo together. I met DH while my ex and I were having issues. I broke up with ex, went out on a date with DH, then moved out of our condo. My ex and I fought with lawyers for a year over the condo, but DH stuck around through that mess luckily. My ex screwed me, but I was just glad to be away from him. DH and I have been together ever since. 5.5 years now, married 2.5.

I'm not really sure. I was dating someone when I started falling for DH, but I hadknown for a few weeks my relationship was over.... and I had known DH for years and knew he was a keeper.

I dumped the guy I was dating to date DH. SO I guess. LOL THANK GOD I dumped the guy I was seeing, DH was a HUGE upgrade. But I was 16 so serious relationships were still not really "serious".

Nope, but he married his rebound. I was a bit of a playa back in the day and hadn't had a steady (or reliable) boyfriend in years. DH had just broken up with his gf of a year when he started dating me. I almost broke up with him when I found out he was on the rebound, it freaked me out.

Yup. My ex and I got into a hugely dramatic, knock-down break-up. He told me he had gone out with his ex-gf a few times while I was at work and I told him it was over. His mom called me on the phone crying asking me to come back.

I left a week later for a study abroad trip and decided it was time to have some fun. Go out, drink, and hook up with a random guy. Well, that random guy turned out to be my DH!
