Chemical PG

I'm not even sure this is what I'm having but I thought I'd seek advice here. I got 2 BFPs last Friday. The very next day, I got an extremly faint BFP, followed by BFN's ever since. I am supposed to get AF today but it hasn't shown up. I took another test this morning & still got a BFN. Anyone have a chemical pg? If so, when did you end up getting AF? I'm so confused with my body. Thanks.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I understand the waves of emotion and the frustration that comes along with it.

I had a chemical pregnancy in October. AF was due Tuesday, but I got a BFP Monday afternoon. Tuesday I had a BFN in the morning, but 2 BFPs in the afternoon. Wednesday the BFP was very faint. I had started spotting a TINY bit on Tuesday and it slowly built up over the next few days. On Thursday I started bleeding red, and unfortunately, that was the end of it. My PG test at the doctor that afternoon said negative and my bloodwork came back with my levels being at only a 4. I bled for the same amount of days as AF and it wasn't any heavier than normal.

Hey, I just had my second chemical pregnancy in four months. On 1/9/2009 I got my BFP at 11dpo. I even had bloodwork done and it doubled. On the third beta my HCG went down.

I got my AF 7 days after it was scheduled to come. Chemical pregancies are failed intrauterine pregnancies. The embryo fails to implant properly into your uterus. there are various reasons. If you read some of my other posts on my profile you'll find out what those are.

So yes, you do get your AF and it's usually late. Chemical pregnancies usually end around start or end of the 5th week. it's a very EARLy miscarriage.

Good thing about chemical pregnancies is that you can try right away on your next cycle if you are emotionally ok with it. Doctor's will always suggest ONE cycle because that is the TEXT book answer.

almost forgot.... I'm going to see an RE this week. CP are common but if you are 2 or more like me this is a sign of a bigger problem. That's why I have requested genetic testing for DH and I. I'm also having the doctor check hormone levels throughout the cycle. CD 3 bloodwork, CD21 ...etc..etc.. just to make sure my hormones are in check (progesterone)

I also wanted to add that mine was at exactly 4 weeks and the doctor I saw recommended I wait one cycle. We half tried the cycle it happened, but both of us were still upset and scared.

I had a cp last cycle. I got a BFP on Dec 30 & 31 when I was 3 & 4 days late. Both tests were faint lines. I tested again on Jan 3 and got BFN, my period started that day. My dr. told me I could try again right away. I'm currently in the 2ww and really hoping and praying for a sticky baby.
