Online vs Bricks and Morter

Anyone else prefer to shop at a "real" store? I love the shopping online concept but I so prefer touching the items and trying them out before I commit to buying it. I'm also really cheap when it comes to paying shipping. I would get so much done if I could enjoy online as much as regular shopping. Anyone else in this club?

Re: Online vs Bricks and Morter

  • Honestly, anymore I'd much rather shop online. I lose patience for pushy salespeople and mall crowds.

That being said, for bigger and more important stuff, I definitely want to see before I buy. Doesn't mean I won't purchase online if I can find a good deal, though!

I rarely pay for shipping on anything. If I can't get a free code, I won't buy it.

  • If I'm shopping for myself, I like to go to the store. If its for someone else, I like to do it online. =)
  • I definitely prefer buying in store. I have had a few experiences where the item I received looked a little different than it did online (color, quality, etc) so I am a little wary.

  • It depends.  Clothes I buy in person so they're the right size and to make sure it works for me.  I like online for a lot of stuff (sometimes no taxes, and most of the time I get free shipping), not to mention you can find the best price online.  I'm great at online shopping, and prefer it...I hate pushy people at the stores.
  • It totally depends on what I'm buying. Clothes and shoes or anything else that needs to be tried on, I usually only buy in-store (or from an online site that allows in-store returns). Things like books, electronics, movies, and other high ticket items, I definitely buy online because the prices are usually much better and Amazon almost always has free shipping.
