Rec. a toy for a soon-to-be walker

A friend of mine has a son who's taken a few steps and is turning one this week.  What toy would you recommend in the 20-35 dollar range that will keep him interested for a while?  TIA!

  • My DS loves his Stride to Ride Lion. I think it's more like $35-40, though. But he is just starting to walk, too, and is having fun pushing it around.

  • Ditto.  For a soon-to-be-walker I would recommend anything he can push around.
  • A shopping cart. ? Even a boy would like it, I imagine.
  • DS has the FP shopping cart and he loves it!  I'm not sure how much it is, it was a Christmas gift.  But it's perfect for pushing around, and even when he's not pushing it he loves playing with the food and other activities on it.

  • those push toys with the popping balls inside are by far one of the favorite toys with the kids in my daycare room (15 mos - 2 yrs 9 mos). ALL of them love it - young and older tods.
  • A huge second for the Stride to Ride Lion.  My daughter absolutely loves hers.  It is only $30 on Amazon and free shipping if you're a prime member.
  • Thanks ladies!
