Can afford movers. It would be way less stressful (especially on my marriage!!) if I could just show up and start unpacking...

    The day we moved most of our things was the day of, "The Fight in the Front Yard."  Moving is horrible on a marriage.

    The last 2 times we've moved, I've told DH that we're not doing it ourselves the next time. I really mean it this time b/c the next time we move, it may very well be out of state and I'm really not feeling that.

    Agreed. All the times I moved until I was married were self-moved. Then we moved to the US so we just couldn't do it without movers. I swore I'd never pack another box after that - its SO much easier.

    Even with movers, we still had our share of tension. ?Moving is hard.

    Negotiating enough of a moving budget to include packers and movers was DH's best moment ever. ??

    I moved 5 times in a year.  Yes they were all local moves but still it was a huge PITA moving a family of 5 with 3 pets.  I can do it but only locally....if I were to move out of state I would do anything I can to come up with the money to hire movers.

    We moved in November and it was only 10 miles and a total PITA. Especially being pregnant and not being able to do as much. Thank goodness for good friends and my MIL & FIL for taking the kids during the weekends and helping us move.
