Babies: 9 - 12 Months

How many hrs does your 9 mo old sleep?

And what is his/her bedtime?  Mine goes down at 7pm, sleeps for 10.5 hours and takes two 45 min naps for a grand total of 12 hours per day.

I am thinking this is not enough for a 9 mo old...

  • He has been on this schedule for about 4 months now.

He sleeps 10-12 hours a night depending on if we are going to daycare or not.  Then he takes one 1hour nap and one two hour nap.

  • DD sleeps about 10 hours at night with two 1 hour naps during the day at daycare during the week.  She sleeps 10 hours at night with a 1 hour nap in the morning and a 2.5 hour nap in the afternoon on the weekends.  She def naps better at home!

  • Margot is asleep by 8pm, wakes up between 7:30 and 8am. then takes a 30-40 mins nap in the morning then an 30 mins nap around 2-3 in the afternoon and that is usually it. sometime she is take another power nap around 5-6.
  • DD goes down at 7:30pm, sleeps for 10.5-11 hours, morning nap is 45 minutes to an hour long, afternoon nap is 1-1.5 hours long, so she gets about 13 hours.  The afternoon nap would be much shorter if she took it in her crib, but she sleeps on me so it's a little longer.  I wish she was a better napper, but unfortunately, she's not.

Ferber says that they should be getting about 12 3/4 hours a day at 9 months, so you're in the range of normal.

  • He sleeps about 11-12 hours per night, and gets in 2 naps a day, they last anywhere from 45 min-1.5 hours each.
