Simplybabyfurniture.com ?

Has anyone used simplybabyfurniture.com to beat a competitor's price?  I've found the crib, chest & dresser I want on both their site and elsewhere on the web.  I've emailed them to see if they can beat the prices but haven't heard back.  I wanted input before I called to see if I could get a bargain.

  • I purchased our crib (Da Vinci Kalani Convertible Crib) at the website and had a wonderful experience.  Their listed price was less that I found the crib anywhere else.  I didn't see if they could go lower.

  • I tried, unsuccessfully.  They have the Graco Lauren crib for $199 (free shipping, plus tax), WalMart has it for $154.70 (including shipping and tax). 

    Here's the email I received from them:

    "Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to match or beat another seller's price. Unfortunately at this time we are unable to match the price you have found.

    We do want to wish you the best of luck!

    I actually ordered the Kalani too!!  I just got it in the mail.  There was antoher website that had it for a cheaper price but it was on backorder.  They said they don't price match on backordered items.

  • Unfortunately, I am having a terrible experience with this company right now. ?We ordered a crib, dresser, and bookcase from them (all listed as in stock and shipping within 5-7 days) a month ago. ?Our crib and bookcase came severely damaged, but the dresser did not ship. ?We submitted photos of the damage, part names, lot #'s, etc. as per the instructions given on the website. ?After receiving an automated ticket # we heard nothing for a week. ?We then contacted them and were told they never received our photos. ?We asked them to check on the dresser, she said they would call back...they did not. We contacted them the following day and were told the dresser was discontinued. ?We found a replacement for the dresser and called to see if they would let us exchange it...each time they said they would find out and call back...they have never called us back. ?We have to contact them every couple days to find out what is happening. ?We have mailed them photos of our damaged parts again and given them the part #'s numerous times. Just today, the replacement part order was finally submitted...a month later. ?They also finally told us they will not offer the other dresser as an exchange. ?We planned the entire room around the size/style of the original dresser and are now stuck with a crib and bookcase. ?If we decided to return those items to them they will charge us to have them shipped and insured. So, now we have to wait for a refund on the dresser...because they charged us for it even though it never shipped...hopefully that doesn't take as long. ?Read the customer service section very carefully - BUYER BEWARE.?
  • By the way, the discontinued dresser is STILL for sale on their website. ?If you decide to order from them, call and verify the item you want is in stock before you order...and before you give them your money.?
