Earth's Best vs. Gerber Cereal

Which one did you choose and why?  Gerber seems to have more vitamins however it also has Soy Oil in it.  We are trying oatmeal instead of rice to thicken DS's feeds for reflux.  This is not a debate about adding cereal. It is medically necessary as DS chokes on his reflux and has caused apnea episodes as well as pneumonia from aspirating.  We have to weigh down his feeds.  I'm trying to decide between the 2 brands of oatmeal.  I'm also trying to rule out a soy allergy.  It's just a hunch I have.

    Earth's Best, because it isn't nearly as processed and it's organic.

    Have you tried Enfamil A.R? It is already thickened with rice starch and supposed to be quite good.

    We use Earth's Best because it is organic.

    Yes, the AR didn't do anything.  It's also thickened with rice starch.  We are thinking the rice might be part of the problem. He's also having constipation issues.
