how do you keep your baby from putting their hands in their poop when you are changing them??? now every time joey has his diaper off, he automatically reaches down there..i always put a washcloth on him to defend from the pee, but now they take them off..and if he has pooped, he puts his hands right in it! ?

any ideas?

sorry im being so nasty..im taking over for skimmy, but with an all too different kind of nasty post, haha?

Is there something he loves that you can give him to distract him - an old remote always worked for my DS - once he had it he would not put it down!

I have a cow rattle that moos and plays old mcdonald attached to the changing table...that keeps them distracted.

i usually give him something to hold. i.e. the new diaper, or an easy to clean toy.

I'm still working on DD not getting her feet in it, lol. She's constantly kicking.
