Our office sent a message around saying that if more than 30 people watched CNN's streaming coverage... it would crash our entire system. Maybe that's why they blocked them for you today.

Perhaps you're right. That makes sense. Of course I just blamed it on "the man" trying to keep us down. Ha.
I'm sure every minute of today will be repeated and analyzed tonight on the news so I can catch up, but I'm bummed to have missed it live.
My company sent out an email that we could all watch it in conference rooms (across the country). Then right as the speech was beginning, they made everyone turn it off because there was too much bandwidth being used When we went back to our desks, all of the news sites had been blocked. I am just crossing my fingers that the block does not last indefinitely...
Re: ugh - Work has all news sites blocked
Uhm, Kelly - DUH! It stopped and kept having to reload because we work for the State!!! LOL!
It did the same thing for me! I only heard bits and pieces of the speech...boo!

What?!?! you mean our internet isn't the most awesome-est internet in the world.
They put in on in the large confernece room for us so we could all watch in there and hopefully not crash the network...but it was still slow.
