Probably not at all...kids will be kids regardless (my brother Mike had stuff said about his name, so you never know--LOL)--those aren't that unusual/weird. My DD is Winnie & I was sure preschool would be full of the Winnie the Pooh references...but I have never once heard a kid say anything about that to her at all. My DD would LOVE Aurora, it's her favorite Disney Princess! And Gus is from a Disney movie too (I think it's the mouse in Cinderella)...so she'd love that too.

Actually, umm...I watched Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and Cinderella like every day from when I was four until I was ten, so both names ARE actually from Disney movies that I loved. My husband likes both of them, thankfully, but he absolutely refused on Ariel. I can see his point.
(I think Winnie is such a cute name, and your girls are adorable!)
I really can't imagine why Aurora would be a problem. ?Gus is adorable and wouldn't be any better or worse than any other boys name (you can't shield them completely!).
I like both names. I doubt a little girl would be made fun of if she were named after a princess! Gus is cute; would you make it short for Augustus? August? Or would it just be Gus?

I would love for his name to be Gustav, but we are both Polish and I don't think he could pull it off. I also like August, but husband hates that name, so we settled on Gus.
I like them both, and kids will find a way to tease no matter what the name is. As long as you're not choosing something totally out there I don't see anything wrong with slightly more unusual names.
I like them both- I love unique names! Honestly, I don't ever remember picking on anyone because of their name. My little sister is 7 and she has some "different" names in her 1st grade class- I don't think she even notices names being odd though! I think adults look at names- especially different ones- more critically than kids!
Oh boy. I really don't like either one, but I have no idea what 10 year olds will do with them in terms of teasing. Honestly, there are so many screwed up names out there at this point that kids are going to be REALLY busy if they choose to make fun of others based on their name alone.
I have a friend named Aura. When I first met her, I thought the name was really strange. Now I don't even think about it though.

i love aurora... but my bff said it sounds like areola and she couldn't get nipples out of her head- ever since the name was killed for me (sorry to share that with you).
gus is cute- i would always say gusgus in that voice
EDD with #4 01-20-14 Proud mama to a boys- 6/17/09 - a girl 2/23/11- and a boy 8/20/12
Screw your friends. I love Aurora. It's our MN for a girl. And Gus might not be my style, but it's a perfectly acceptable, strong name. Plenty of kids have names that became popular because of them years later. I'm pretty sure DiCaprio was the only Leo in his class, and 30-some years ago, no one would have thought about Noah, but Wyle seems to have survived and caused quite a stir around a beautiful name.
I wouldn't pick Aurora, but it's not a bad choice. I wouldn't name a boy Gus.

Gus is a name that is very old fashioned and as much as you may like it, it may cause problems with other children because it is very different. I would strongly encourage you to use it maybe as a middle name.
If your heart is really set on the name Gus I would give him a name that could have Gus as a nickname: like the name
HA! before my brother got married he always wanted to name his future son Gustav Vader (insert very Scandinavian last name here) - my SIL would not let him, so they settled on Ryan. LOL. I like Gus...

Aurora is okay but it's a bit hippy-dippy and i think a lot of people will not be able to spell i correctly.
?
Gus is NMS but your kid might be able to pull it off.?
I'm always weary of names that start with vowels because they easily tend to make very awkward initials if one isn't careful.
My cousin is Aurora and I absolutely love it! Gus is ok.

So yea. And Aurora is a great name and I think that one woul be great.
Either are fine. Not a huge fan of Gus, but it seems to be pretty popular on the board.

I don't think it will be too bad with Aurora, but Gus is a whole other story.
