Unexpected fabric purchases today

So I was driving from my dr's office to Target today, when, wait, was that a Hobby Lobby?  I didn't even know there was one in that town!  (My dr is a couple of towns over.)  U-turn!  And a sale on fabric!  I got the patchwork cotton and yellow minky to make a blanket with, and the other two prints I might make a diaper shirt like the one on top or maybe a little dress.  I traced the pattern from among some of my old baby clothes and gave it a go with some leftover nursery scraps.  Not perfect, but pretty cute!  I have to prewash the new fabric before I can actually play with it.

  • Nice!  I love those prints you got!  I had to pick up some fabric for a customer today (even though I work at a fabric store, I still went to another one, lol), and of course, bought some more stuff.  It's a TERRIBLE addiction - I just took some new pics of my studio, I'm going to have to post them....

Surprisingly, no.  I need to do some of our actual laundry first, but maybe I'll sneak these in first thing in the morning.

  • I've never heard of Hobby Lobby - off to google locations!  Great finds!

In my house, new fabric takes prestige over regular laundry, lol!

  • umm, yeah. is it bad that i have considered driving to yuma just to get my hobby lobby fix???

:now that i remind myself of the desert/mtn combo, i know its completely ridiculous. but seriously, if you are ever w/in twenty miles of one, you should go. its that good.:

  • I have never been in one: ( ?Everywhere DH has been stationed at does not have one, what gives? I love the fabric though, especially the stripes. They are all so pretty!?
