Any opinions on Kushies?

Thinking about putting these on our baby registry so we get 10% off with our completion coupon. What do you ladies think about them?

  • i had 1 and it was not a fav as it always guaranteed a leak.

    Sad

  • horrible diapers!  don't waste your time with them!
  • I got some in my CL lot I bought. ?They seem kind of...not soft? ?I can't pin it down exactly, but they just don't seem to be as nice as the other diapers. ?I don't know how much they cost though, so it may be a less expensive alternative.

  • I have some and use them.

For newborns and runny BF poo - just say no. They just do not work for that. Also, they really don't fit until several pounds more than the label says. There is no waist elastic. They are more plasticy feeling than PUL diapers, but they do soften up over time. The laundry tabs are crap and they often come unfastened in the wash.

I packed mine away for months, but eventually got them out to try them again. After DD had started solids and had firm poo, they were OK. The are a cheap way to increase your stash of babysitter friendly diapers (I started using them again when DD went to MDO at 8.5mo and I needed more velcro dipes).

All that said, I did buy the larger size when DD outgrew them - again, I was doing it to have enough dipes to send to daycare because I couldn't afford enough BGs (and velcro diapers are all they are willing to use). Once again, they don't really fit at the lowest weight on the tag, so I've ended up just using them at home (mostly we use prefolds at home during the day, FBs at night, and BGs for daycare/going out). But now that they are starting to fit DD again, she is turning into a super heavy wetter, so the Kushies are only good for an hour and a half (and a PF will last 2-2.5hr on her).
