Best umbrella stroller?

What do you suggest and WHY?  Thanks!

Re: Best umbrella stroller?

  • I like the Maclaren Volo.  It's extremely lightweight, it weighs 8 lbs.  Also, it goes up to 55 lbs.  So I'll get plenty of use out of it.

  • The simple $20 colorful ones at BRU are great--smooth, easy to carry, lightweight. I love the storage pocket.
  • I love my Graco Ipo. Reasonably priced, reclines easily if baby is sleeping, good steering, and its easy to fold up & pop in the trunk Smile

I use mine all the time, except if I'm going to do a lot of shopping at the mall or walking around the neighborhood I will use my Chicco Cortina.

  • I pph my chico capri - just used it actually and we walked about 2 miles.  We have the Graco travel system in Deco but wanted a lightweight stroller (there aren't sidewalks in our neighborhood yet) and it is an awesome stroller for what we use it for.  And DS seems very comfy in it as well - love it and would highly rec. it!   I bought it to use on the crappy roads in our neighborhood and it handles the rough road well and DS isn't jostled or anything.  It's rugged enough to have good tires yet steers great.  GL and HTH

  • Ditto about the Graco Ipo!  I love it!  Plus the wheels are bigger than most umbrella strollers, so it can handle "rougher" rides.
  • Maclaren Volo - no need for a recline feature because the seat has a pretty deep natural recline.  SO lightweight and easy to push with one hand through the airport.  Love it!

  • I am looking for one too... I have tested a lot and read a lot of reviews but still haven't decided. Right now I'm leaning towards the Combi Savvy or Combi Cosmo EX. I don't like the chicco capri because it has no front bar and DD loves putting her feet up on the tray of our bigger stroller. Also I like that they reclien fully and fold up really small... and are about 11-13lbs. they also seemed to have a much bigger storage basket than the Chicco Capri. I have read mixed reviews on them having cheap wheels though... its a tough choice. I don't want to spend a ton, but I don't want to be too cheap and have it not workout well.
