I don't think so. You should do whatever is right for you and your DH.
We had originally said we were not going to tell anyone (including family) until 12 weeks but I am not sure I can keep it from them for that long. We will tell parents around 8-9 weeks.
Not at all. Tell everyone when you're ready! It's somewhat fun to have such a big secret to only you and your dh for a while. A lot of people wait until the 2nd tri anyway.
We're waiting to tell most family/friends until the 2nd tri. The only people we've told so far is our parents, a couple really close friends and a couple family members all that we knew could keep a secret.
A lot of people wait until the 2nd trimester. We told at 8 weeks after having our first ultrasound. My BFF kind of scolded me for telling people "too early." It kind if bugged me b/c it wasn't like we were writing it across the sky. We told our parents, siblings and I told her, my BFF.
no - it's totally your call. You'll even have ultrasound pics to show when you are ready to tell!
On the reverse side - if you aren't telling b/c you are afraid of m/c, depending on how close you are to your family you might want them to know either way so they can support you if you do lose your pregnancy. I'm really close to our family and we did tell early for this reason. I know we had a lot of folks praying for us!
Congrats to you, BTW!!!

I think it's up to each couple. Everyone is different, and knows what's right for them. We were working so hard at getting preg. We told our immediate fam right away, and few days later told everyone that we have been sharing our journey through infertility with.
Not at all. ?With my first pregnancy we waited until I was 12 weeks to tell family and 13 weeks to tell co-workers. ?This time we already announced we were expecting. ?I don't know why we couldn't keep it a secret this time and I don't know how we did keep it a secret for so long last time!
Part of me wishes I wouldn't have told immediate family as soon as I did (5 weeks) because none of them could keep it a secret even though we asked them to. For some it was an honest mistake, but for others they didn't see the big deal. To me, it's a matter of respect. My pregnancy is something I think about every day - it consumes my entire existence. If I can keep my mouth shut, I don't think it's too much to ask them to do the same.
So no, I don't think it's weird to wait to tell them. You should do it when you feel ready.
