Marshmallow Creme aka Fluff

I wanted to make my fruit dip today but one of the ingredients is Marshmallow Creme aka Fluff.  Well DH saw that it says it contains egg whites.  I have insisted time and time again that it is okay and everything in moderation.  Well he is not "allowing" me to make it unless I ask the ladies on the bump!  I told him that I would get flamed for asking this and he said "I guess you don't want your fruit dip!"

I know he is just being cautious but come on!  I want my fruit dip. 

So is Marshmallow Creme aka Fluff okay during pregnancy? 

Please dont flame me!!!!!

    For goodness sake- tell your DH that nothing comes between you and your fruit dip!  There is nothing raw in Fluff, nor are egg whites bad for you!

    I don't see why not.  I've never read anything about not being able to eat marshmallows while pg.  It's not raw egg whites...  I used to love that stuff on pb sandwiches when I was a kid.

    There are so many preservatives in that stuff, it's not like cracking open a raw egg and eating it.  If it's "shelf stable" (not refrigerated in the store), then it's likely safe.  Of course, now I have a huge craving for a fluffernutter (peanut butter and fluff) sandwich on white bread.  Good thing I'm too sick to go to the store!  Enjoy your fluff!

    That is exactly what I told DH! 

    Thanks ladies Smile  I know he just wants to make sure that I am eating healthy for me and the baby so it is hard to get frustrated with him.  Off to go make some fruit dip!!!

    I don't see the need in calling my doctor about every little thing.  I plan on covering alot of these things when we see our OB Nurse on Thursday but I kind of wanted the fruit dip today.

    I don't see the need in calling my doctor about every little thing.  I plan on covering alot of these things when we see our OB Nurse on Thursday but I kind of wanted the fruit dip today. 

    It was basically a compromise.  He originally did want me to call the doctor but I said I didnt want to call the doctor over something like Fluff.  So since we have not told anyone we are PG he mentioned asking the ladies on the bump.

    Im on the bump!  I think its ok to drink diet cokes all day eat raw fish smoke some crack do recreational drugs lick eggs that have just been cracked open. oh and of course get tattoos....  want me to deliever your baby?
