When to take baby photos?

I wanted to see what you suggested is a good age to take the first pro pic's. I love the new born pics. I love them all really, lol.

Anyways, could you show me a photo you love and the age it was done.?

    We did Hudson's newborn pics about 2 - 3 weeks or so after he was born, but that was mainly due to scheduling conflicts. With our next baby, I plan on contracting a photog. to come to the hospital to do birth shots and shots with the family. I have some newborn pics in my bio if you want to check them out. Smile

    Oops...I just remembered that my bio is all wonky and the pics are all really small. If you go to my family blog linked in my siggy, there is a link on the right side to our family pics on Shutterfly and I have uploaded our newborn pics there and you can definitely see them better there. HTH!

    we got hers done at 18 days. We only got a few done and learned from the experience never to go to BRU to get pics done again Devil

    Our photog for newborn pictures only does up to 3 weeks old..

    If you go to "Details" on this page and then "Answers" (in the FAQ section), it explains why a 3 week cutoff..

    We did our at a little under two weeks, I love all the pictures!  www.bludoor.com did them, ReJana & Mike were great with us, especially after Aiden peed all over everything! You can't even tell in the pictures!

    We loved them!  I don't know what areas Steve works in... he's in Sachse but he had no issues coming to our house in Denton.

    Everything was great!  Very easy to work with.He's gone up a little in price since we did our pictures (they were only $150) but for what you get, totally worth it!  He gives you everything on CDs (including hi-res) and gives the photographers release so you can have them printed anywhere.

    Those are nice pics and his rates are really affordable too and I love that he includes the high-res images on cd in his rate. That's my only thing....there are a ton of photog's that I love their work, but honestly I always want the rights to my photos and a cd of all of the high-res images and I just can't swallow paying $600 or $800 or $1000 for a session fee and cd. :( Not right now anyways.

    My wedding photographer gave us our photos on a CD and the rights to it so we were not shelling out a ton for him to print them. This is want we are looking for, for our little guys photos. We would use our wedding photographer, but he is in Austin and I just dont see us making the time when he is less then three weeks old. So I am looking for one around here that is good and we get the rights to the photos.
