? re:dropping off at daycare

Carrying two carseats with growing babies is getting quite difficult....I put them in carseats leaving daycare and leave them in them when dropping off.

Anyone have any good ideas on how to get them to/from car at daycare? I thought about using baby sling for one and carrying the other. Stroller would be a nuisance.

At least I'm getting a good upper body workout

Re: ? re:dropping off at daycare

  • the twin mommies at my daycare (of non walkers) use a stroller, that they leave in the daycare to use for pickup.

once they start walking i have seen some of them use those little tethers/leashes to walk them in/out :)  I think that's what i'll need- esp with DS in tow, too!!

  • I am still using the carriers, and I carry both of them in and have my 3 year old hold onto one of the infant seats.  Although one of the moms usually helps me when she is there, which is a huge help.  They are really too big for the carriers now (20 pounds each), so I need to put them in the convertible seats soon - once I do that, I'll bring my macleran stroller and put them in there to walk them inside and hopefully leave the stroller there for pickup.
  • We used a stroller that we left there for pickup.

  • I have the same problem. My girls are pretty big and I am not strong enough to carry both at the same time. I did it for a week, then the next week I carried one and put the other one in a single stroller. This weekend we got a lightweight double stroller that I am planning on using from now on.

  • I have the same concern! It's pretty heavy carrying them both in their car seats, and I know it'll only get worse. The stroller is a good idea.
