We went to to RE!

After one year of trying unsuccessfully we finally went to the RE.  We were lucky to have our appointment on the same day that I was ovulating so we were able to do an on the spot IUI.  Unfortunately it didn't work, but it was good to have the experience without a bunch of hype and build up...just a let's try it today and see what happens.

I am going on Tuesday for the HSG.  I am a little scared, but know the pain will be short lasting.  My doc did an ultrasound and is pretty sure I have a uterine polyp.  I'm so glad we finally found this out, as I know that can be quite a hindrance.

DHs sperm count was great, so hopefully an HSG and removing the uterine polyps will put us on the road to a BFP!!!

    The HSG does hurt but it's short and it's such a relief to know what's going on in there. I hope yours goes well, good luck! Taking 800mg Ibuprofen an hour before helps.
    Me: 44 DH: 42. DS born healthy at 40 weeks 8/24/09. TTC since then with no luck or ART. Surprise BFP 8/6/14... MMC @ 8 weeks 4 days... Miss you everyday sweet baby angel.

    My HSG didnt hurt at all. I was bracing myself for the pain when I heard the x-ray tech say "we have spillage" which means they were done before I even knew they started. Maybe it's only uncomfortable if a tube is blocked? The only thing that hurt was the $1800.00 bill.

    My HSG wasn't a big deal either. ?I also had a hysteroscopy to have polyps removed. ?I was scared to death, but it was a breeze! ?Good luck to you!

    My HSG also didn't hurt!!  And the best part is I ovulated a week after and got my BFP which my RE and others attribute to the procedure being done considering we tried for 3 yrs and all we got were BFN's!!   Good luck!!!  Hopefully it won't hurt at all Big Smile
