Re: JCP Portrait studio. Some ?s.

  • I usually use a photog at my home but couldn't really swing that with Christmas and the girls' birthday so our Christmas/1 year portraits were done at JCP. I don't have a JCP CC so I can't answer that... and I didn't get a CD or even ask about it. I signed up for the pics online, which was $5 or something like that. I wouldn't do it again, though, because the quality of the photos they post is awful and it's hard to tell if you even want to order more based on those pics.

The pics we did came out very well. My girls won't smile for any photogs, JCP or in my home, so we knew that going into it. I wanted basic posed shots with all of the kids and that is what we got. I'm not into backgrounds, so we just did plain white. The one in my siggy is from there!

  • 1. Don't have one so I don't know

    2. I don't think they even offered.

    3. Um, don't even get me started!  We took Eli and our two nephews to JCP for Xmas pictures for the IL's.  They were overcrowded, and rude.  You can't really see the photos to know if you want to order them or not.  They rushed us and when my SIL went to pick the pictures up they just handed them to her and walked away, some of the pics had horrible scratches on them.  We paid $20 extra to get a sheet in B/W, and that picture isn't even close to being centered.  It would be fine if it wasn't cutting off half of my nephew.  Overall, I think they are overpriced for what you get.  Yes, they have $4 sheets but you never really spend that.

My siggy picture is from Kiddie Kandids.  I can't say enough good things about them.  And you get your photos same day.

  • My mom used JCPenny's for some photos of my neices a few years back and she was not impressed with them. Some of the same complaints that others say. She started taking them to Sears and LOVES the pics she gets from them. They do an awesome job and I plan to take our little man there to get his professional pics done.

  • 1. Not sure about the cc 2. They do offer a cd but never bought it. 3. Loved the photos we took they came out wonderful. Never had a problem. They do take there time to get the pictures you want so sometimes you have to wait but they give each person the same treatment.

  • 1 & 2 Not sure

    3.  Really good!  DD wouldn't smile, however she was awake (she was about 3 months old) and they still got a ton of pics.  We went to Deptford and they were great (not sure where in NJ you are located!)
