  I bought what to expect the first year and it seems like it'll be a good resource. I don't recommend reading the special needs or first aid sections, however. They made me cry!

  Heading Home  With Your Newborn is what I just read in the store and got. Seemed like a lot of good info that you think you should know but dont. I also hear that The Happiest Baby on The Block is great.

  ps. all the jenny books are my favs! I read them years before pregnancy-shes awesome

  I love What To Expect the First Year.  I found the weekly updates from babycenter.com during pregnancy and after he was born to be great too.

  I really like Baby 411. Happiest Baby on the Block also comes on a dvd- that is great too.

  i like baby 411 and i also read the girlfriend's guide to pregnancy and girlfriend's guide to surviving the first year of mommyhood. all have been pretty good. i really think baby 411 is a great book. it has a lot of information in it.

  I'm reading Your Pregnancy Week by Week, Belly Laughs, and The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy.  So far, they've all been great.
