Have you been a pregnant bridesmaid?

I just found out I am pregnant, but am in a friend's wedding on September 4th. The Bump says my due date will be September 19th (two weeks and a day later). It seems like I always hear about women getting induced these days, so I am just wondering if I will be still pregnant for her wedding! If I am, surely I will be uncomfortable. I guess I will have to tell her I can't do it! She knows we were trying and said she didn't care if I was pg in the wedding.

Thoughts?

I would talk to her, because since it is so close you may not be able to make it.. You both may decide that you want to go ahead and try or you both might say it is best for you not to be in it.

I had a very pregnant bridesmaid in my wedding. She gave birth about 3 weeks after the wedding. Suprisingly, she was one of the most energetic people at the wedding. She danced all night long! You never know - you could feel great or feel uncomfortable. If the bride said she didn't care if you were pregnant and if you are very close with the bride, I would still be in the wedding.

My cousin kind of knew we were going to start trying, and I will be 33 weeks at her wedding. Most people don't care if you are pregnant or not in a wedding. Just be sure you order the dress big enough!

Most of my friends have been pregnant bridesmaids and alot of the time felt like crap being on display when they were far along. Walking down the aisle 9 months pregnant in a bridesmaid dress does not sound appealing. If it was me I would have to turn her down just because it's way too close to your due date. You may be miserable if it it a week after you gave birth or if you are about to give birth I personally would not want to be in a bridesmaid dress days before the due date. It stinks because I'm sure you want to be there for her but I'm sure she would understand.

My sister was 8 1/2 months pregnant in my wedding. She's short so she had a pretty big belly and she was fine. She wore flat and comfortable shoes obviously but she didn't seem to have any issues. If you are in the wedding wait till the last minute to buy your dress and don't get one twice your size. My sister ordered one with the advice of the sales lady that was huge! She had to have so much of it taken off.

I so doubt that I would want to be a bridesmaid at the very end of my pregnancy or a couple weeks after. Talk to her and see what she says. Maybe there is another way for you to be involved? IF you decide you might not want to do it?

I was a bridesmaid a few MONTHS after DS was born and it was still a nightmare because of fitting issues.

I am going to be almost 8 months pregnant for my sisters wedding in June. She said if it were anyone else she'd be mad. But, it's me. I say go for it, be in it and enjoy it.?

I felt fine at the end of my pregnancy and would of had no problem being a bm at that time. You most likely would not be induced until after your due date/overdue. Most Dr. wont and hospitals wont allow inductions before 39 weeks. GL

My sister was very pregnant when i got married, she looked adorable though and was a real trooper.. we all wore flip flops.. which she thanked me for afterwards.. it's completely up to you...
