If you had the option to stay home or work would you decide to go back to work 5 days after delivery? There is a story about a french politician who is back to work, looking fierce, 5 days after her c/s and ppl are jumping all over it.
Unfortunately, I will be back at work within two weeks. Not full-time, but here nonetheless. I have a nursery set up in my office, so the baby will be with me at all times.
Its weird, cause the article states that some women are complaining that her returning to work sends the message that you have to be super woman and look hot right after you give birth. The other set of women are giving her props for being able to bounce back.
Like pp said, its her choice, so people should mind their own and stop obsessing over what others do.
i am not exactly sure. i heard somewhere that she was back to work within a week or two after having trig.
i guess if i needed to work i would go back asap, hey you gotta do what you gotta do.
lol! at first i was trying to figure out what trig was short for or if it was a typo... trigonometry? trips? no she didn't have triplets...
oh, duh, that's what they named the kid. i think that is why i have a hard time liking any names that are too unique or spelled differently. they just don't register with my brain.
Anyway, i can kind of understand why there are people upset about the media coverage of a woman going back to work looking fierce just 5 days after a c/s. in a perfect world, we'd all understand that each woman is different and what one chooses to do doesn't affect anyone but her. But i can see a lot of employers, especially males, seeing this media coverage and now expecting it to be the norm for all women and seeing those women that need more time before going back to work as just not taking work seriously enough, being lazy, or taking advantage of the system. that would be a huge setback for women.
