I have incompetent cervix so I know that most (if not all) of what I experience in the pressure on my pelvis area is not normal. I'm 100% effaced and baby's head is right at my cerclage. No dilation, but my doctor is pretty confident that's just because the cerclage is preventing it. I was wondering how many ladies 36/37 weeks or greater are experiencing this so that I can compare. (Even though I know we are all different, I'm just curious.)
Today in the shower the baby would press it's butt into my ribs and then I'd feel counter pressure down in my pelvis. The best way I can explain is this: You know how when you first put a tampon in (back when we were all still having periods, that is) you can feel it for a few seconds until your body get's used to it being there? That's the kind of pressure I was feeling down in those parts... sort of like the baby was right there. I just had an internal on Wednesday and I haven't had any bleeding or any of the other signs my OB has me on the lookout for so I know things are stable. I'm not worried, just curious what some of you other ladies are feeling as you get close to your EDD and if that's a normal thing for someone with a "normal" pregnancy.
TIA!
Re: Lots of Pressure - a little TMI
Totally understand since we kinda in the same boat with the cerclage and bedrest thing. I've been feeling alot of pressure too and today had a brownish discharge so not sure if it was just old blood from the cerclage being placed at 13 weeks. We'll see on Tuesday what they say at doc. Hope everything gets better and you can keep that baby baking for alittle longer. At least your 35 weeks now. Preemies do so much better once you hit that mark.
Hey there! I just responded to your Update post about your bleeding from last week. Glad things are okay for you!
