Got my first unsolicted pg comments

this morning.  I saw a co-worker in the cafeteria who promptly said "Wow, are you sure you're not having twins?"  She followed that with "Should you be drinking that?" as I paid for my coffee (which was decaf with one squirt of regular in it by the way).  I'm even still wearing a non-maternity shirt today!

It's really not that big of a deal, but it's the first thing someone has said to me so far that's been obnoxious.  I think it's even more annoying since she's not thin and was basically telling me I look like a cow.

    Sorry you had to deal with that, I think it's pretty much inevitable.  So annoying.

    Ya gotta love the ignorance in this world! LOL, brush it off, they dont know what they are talking about, all the world thinks they are your dr when your pg, i cant wait til I get my first comment, im just brewing up some good comebacks!

    My MIL told me on Christmas that she couldn't believe how huge I was and suggested that the doctor check again to make sure it wasn't twins!   Then she gave me an XL jacket as a present!  Mind you, I still probably weigh 20 lbs less than she does and was wearing a size small maternity shirt!

    There is a lady in my office that we have nicknamed, Grace, since she has none! She comes in daily and asks the 'how are you feeling', 'do you have a name yet', 'have you felt him kick' etc. I finally had to just tell her thanks for being interested but I'd rather not discuss my personal life with her! It has become quite comical!

    I wanted to say "Should you be eating that sausage, egg and cheese biscuit?", but I choked.  I wish I had the balls to actually say that stuff in the moment. 

    I'm sure there will be many more comments, I just felt like I got initiated into the club this morning!

    Is she a mom? Grace is and I think that makes a difference. People that are moms I feel are quicker to judge and make comments...at least that has been the case with me. Others don't say much.

    how rude!  Yeah you gotta get those comebacks ready.  I esp hated the comment - "You still haven't had that baby yet" - that really irritated me so I would say " Yah actually I did - I had him yesterday and can you believe I am back to work already" - they get the hint after that.
