i want to start doing daycare out of my home, being that i have the experience (13+years/preschool, etc), i want to be able to save mom's some $$, and i'd love to be home with my baby, as well as other babies, because not a lot of places take babies, and if they do it's like millions of dollars!
what are you girls doing if you're going back to work? i'm curious on whether or not to keep pushing for this....? (and whether or not to leave me current job!)
thanks girls!
Re: day care thought
That sounds like a great idea! You definetely have the experience!
That is a big decision for you to make, if you leave your job you won't have that steady income, benefits, 401K and a retirement plan. BUt if you never looked at your job as a carreer then I would consider it. You would be the one raising your child and your child will get to interact with other kids which will be great.
I'm not going back to work. My husband and I discussed even before we got married that I would want to raise our kids. I paint murals so Im hoping that I can do that a couple of days a week.
My sister was looking into daycare and it is so expensive your paycheck goes to daycare ( in some cases.)
Follow your heart, and do what you love.
GOod luck!
honestly, i have no idea what i'm going to be doing when the time comes. in my job, its really hard for me to be out for only 6 weeks, but finding childcare for an infant, particularly in this area, is next to impossible.
i think you sound more than experienced in this area and should definately persue it.
