They are a week old today and perfect! They decided to come at 33w1d on January 8 - as baby A broke his bag of water. I was admitted and labored for 10 hours before I was sent into the operating room (at our hospital all twins are born here in case an emergency c-section is needed). Baby A came out with about 3 contractions at 11:06pm weighing 4lbs 10oz and 18 inches long. His little brother came out about 18 minutes later after the doctor helped him get into position and broke his bag of water, his little hands were up around his face so the doctor had to reach in and put them down to 'engage' him in delivery - after about 8 contractions the little man was born at 11:24pm weighing 4lbs 2 oz and also 18 inches long. It took about 45 minutes to get them out, and I only got to see them for a second. Neither boy needed any help breathing and are pretty big for their gestational age. Because I delivered vaginally I was able to get up within an hour to the NICU and touch them and give them names! I was released 24 hours after being admitted so I can spend all of my time in the NICU with them - so far we're all doing well (though both have apnea where they forget to breathe and scares mommy and are under the biliruben lights because they are a bit jaundice). I'm just so in love with them!

That was stupid, it just posted without me saying anything. Hi Heather, Congratulations. Mandy Y. is a dear, dear friend of mine and she told me that I had to check out your story and your beautiful boys. It is so amazing that you were able to deliver both boys vaginally, and more amazing that they were so big at 33 weeks. My sister-in-law delivered a baby boy, at 33 weeks, in November. He weighed 4 lbs 1 oz. He went home in less than a month and is doing so wonderfully. I am so happy for you and your family...way to go.
