    hello your baby needs you  when your ready to have day care its not easy to leave your baby and your pg so you have a long time to go,and in my view your baby is too young to let them  be alone unless u have to go back to work? my baby is 3months and i have a hard time to find anyone to watch her to give me an break and its not easy to find a good babysitter,nanny or daycare but in my view wait to take your baby to an daycare center. ask your family or inlaws to help you. im sure having to spend for day care is alot of money and try to look at the ymca or the general city/ parks near you or google it. take care

    It depends on who you go to. 
    If you are looking into private baby-sitter (be sure to look for licensed ones), it might be around $700 a month.

    But if you are going to larger kinder care facility, it can be over $1000.

    I plan to be a stay home mom after my baby is delivered.  I believe that's the best choice for my baby if it's financially allowed.

    God I wish I could stay home! ALL of my family is in the midwest. We know no one here. Surface works friends etc..

    I would LOVE to take care of my baby for a year before I go back to work. However, that is not financially possible. So, that's why I asked the question. And the reason I asked so early is so I can start saving right away!

    And CA is such a great state for Mom's! lol.. SDI is a joke. Oh and IOU's for our state refunds. Yes

    I'm in the same position. No in-laws or family in LA who can stay with the baby. Wish I could stay home longer, but with this economy it just might not be an option right now.

    I am worried about waiting lists. I haven't checked anything out yet, but I've heard horror stories of people calling now and being told no spots are open until 2010. I just don't know where to start looking. I can't stand the thought of leaving my child with just anyone.

    I have heard around $1200.00 a month. It sucks. Plus my neighborhood is a little sketchy. I really need to start looking too.

    i work in the area and they range from $800-$1600 a month, depending on service and area.
