I think it's awful that they don't have at least a few weeks there at the camp before anyone gets sent home. Last night's outcome was just plain awful...the bottom 2 were the 2 that needed to stay the most.
I was describing this show to my grandma - "...and if you don't lose enough weight, you go home." Being the wise one that she is, she said, "well isn't that missing the point?"
I also hate that it has to be played as a game. I feel so bad for the ones that have to go home.
It also bugs me how much they talk about how anyone can do this. Not everyone can take 4 months offf of their job and devote themselves 9 hours a day to working out. It's sad to see that after a year or two, almost all of the contestants, even the winners, are struggling with their weight again.
Can you imagine going back to real life? How do you find 2 hrs to work out, let alone 8 or 9. It must be so hard to keep that weight off. It just doesn't seem realistic to me.

the most recent winner said something like, there's game winning weight, and there's real life weight. Most of the contestants have kept their weight off, or are w/in 20 lbs of their goal. I love the show and looked at the 'where are they now' from the most recent show finale. Only one or two have gained all of their weight back, from the ones they profiled. I think staying w/in 20 lbs of a goal weight when you were 200-300 lbs to start is pretty darn good.
And no, it's not realistic that we can all exercise 9 hours a day. I was heartened to see some real life before and after's on display at my 24 Hour Fitness, from their actual clients at that location.
Eh, I don't think they just send 'em home and leave them. They *need* the good before/after shots for the finale. They make sure they have the supervision they need, for at least a few months.?
I hate that it gives the general public and unrealistic idea of what healthy weight loss is. Sure it wouldn't be good television if they only lost 1-2 lbs per week, but that's the most realistic way to go. It's also much easier to maintain weight loss like that.

Jerry looks really good now, and is much healthier. I wish joelle was voted off. she was sitting in the corner almost pouting she was not being voted home.
Re: I hate biggest loser
i agree.. joelle ?? should have be sent home..
That's what I thought, too. But I hate whiners.

But it's all a game and that's part of the drama.
