3 weeks and 4 days anxiety around chemical pregnancies

Hi everyone! We found out we're pregnant yesterday at 10 DPO, so very early. I've been mostly trying to not get in my head about everything, but obviously that does not always work. I read a statistic today that 50-60% of pregnancies will end in a chemical (or some sites say 50-60% first time pregnancies will end in a chemical). That seems so high that! So more likely than not my pregnancy will end in a chemical?

I wasn't able to find a source for this statistic, does anyone know if this is true or has a source?

I'm currently questioning everything I do and every pain, twinge, or feeling I have. My obgyn office also said that they won't do a HCG blood draw or progesterone test on me, but I'm not even sure that would give me long term peace of mind. I think I just need to relax!

  • There's no way it's that night. But I completely get your anxiety, my last pregnancy was a loss, so this pregnancy has me holding on to every day. What helped me was looking at a miscarriage calculator, you can find one online that allows you to put in your age and other stats, then you can watch the percentage likelihood of a healthy baby grow every day.

  • Waiting during the early weeks of pregnancy can feel incredibly stressful, especially after hearing about chemical pregnancies. Try to focus on taking things one day at a time and stay in touch with your healthcare provider if you have concerns. On a different note, Trendy Baby Coupons can be helpful for saving on future baby essentials.
