Screaming after naps

My baby has a good temperament generally and never wakes up crying at night, but after daytime naps he wakes up screaming everytime. Anyone else or any idea why?

    My baby is 4 months old and wakes up from naps crying if he is in pain or discomfort. First, I would check if he is teething. Mine started to wake up in pain after his gums started to be sore. I could see he was upset because he did not want to wake up, and something bothered him. It can also be the room temperature (too hot or too cold). In addition, I guess that depends on how you put him in the crib. The last memory he has is with you, and suddenly he wakes up to find you are no longer there. If so, you have to put him in the crib when he is still drowsy, so he sees the transfer and remembers that. Other than those things, I would say he misses you and needs mommy’s touch.
